Date: Fri, March 24
Time: 2:45 PM - 4:00 PM

This hands-on, interactive, "choose your own adventure" session provides an opportunity for participants to dive into real time case analysis that requires deep engagement with various difficult issues, including: client confidentiality, the representation of co-defendants, the meaning of zealous representation for innocence attorneys, the role of race in our clients' lives, in our lives, and in our representation, and the meaning of justice. Participants will be assigned innocence attorney "characters" and will be provided with relevant facts over the course of the session that will influence how and what choices can be made during the course of representation. Based on a unique and surprising case jointly litigated by the Center On Wrongful Convictions and the Innocence Project, join us as we explore the various tactical and legal decisions that we make, the teachable moments, and the emotional pitfalls of litigating complex innocence cases.
