Working with the Media in Innocence Cases: Ethical & Strategic Considerations (Network Members Only)

Location: Nautilus 4
Date: Fri, March 24
Time: 11:45 AM - 1:00 PM

The media has long played a role in righting wrongful convictions, and various media outlets — from newspapers to podcasts to Netflix — are interested in telling these stories. While there can be real benefits to working with the media, the choice of whether to do so in a particular case involves complicated ethical and strategic questions that can be difficult to navigate. This panel will examine some of those questions, bringing together panelists with different perspectives and experiences to have a conversation about what innocence advocates should consider when working with the media.
