Anna Tolin

Anna Tolin is Director of the Innocence Project Northwest (IPNW) and a Lecturer in the IPNW Clinic at University of Washington School of Law. Anna joined IPNW in 2011 after a twenty-year career in criminal defense. A graduate of University of Washington and Cornell Law School, she has advocated for clients as a public defender and private practitioner at all levels of Washington State and U.S. federal courts. Anna is a Past President of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, serves on the Innocence Network’s Complex DNA Working Group, and is an emeritus member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the Western District of Washington and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
