Brooke Gittings

Brooke Gittings is the founder, host and producer of the Actual Innocence podcast, described by Rolling Stone magazine as a "top ten true crime podcast you need to follow." Brooke obtained her master's degree in social work from Indiana University and is a licensed social worker and therapist. Brooke uses her counseling skills to engage exonerees in compelling, moving conversations about their wrongful conviction experiences, which Brooke then shares through her podcast. Her goals are to educate others about the causes of wrongful convictions, highlight the ongoing issues affecting exonerees, and connect dedicated volunteers with exonerees to help provide exoneree support.
