Imran Syed

Imran Syed is a clinical assistant professor of law at the University of Michigan Law School and the assistant director of the Michigan Innocence Clinic. He has litigated several post-conviction innocence cases based on shifts in forensic science, including arson and Shaken Baby Syndrome cases. Mr. Syed has also published law review articles in the area of shifts in science, with a specific focus on crafting legal claims to reopen cases involving wrongful convictions based on outdated science. He also teaches a seminar on forensic science at Michigan Law School.
