Joe Bodenhamer is the director of the Wrongful Conviction Project at the Office of the Ohio Public Defender. He currently serves on the Innocence Network Executive Board and is chair of the Membership Committee. He began his career with the Ohio Public Defender in 1990 as a Mitigation Specialist, and later supervised the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Public Defender's Office, where he and his staff conducted fact investigations at the trial and appellate levels. He has served as Director of the Wrongful Conviction Project since 2010. Prior to joining the Public Defender's Office, he worked as a social worker for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Columbus, OH.
