Lara Zarowsky


Lara Zarowsky serves as policy director of Innocence Project Northwest (IPNW) where she promotes systemic reforms to prevent wrongful convictions in Washington State and to support exonerees following release.  She is a member of the faculty at the University of Washington School of Law where she directs the Legislative Advocacy Clinic and teaches courses in legislation and public policy and in negotiation.  Her Clinic students championed a 2013 law to compensate Washington's wrongly convicted and a 2015 law to preserve biological evidence.  Ms. Zarowsky began her law career in the Washington State Legislature where she served as non-partisan staff to the House Judiciary and Public Safety Committees.
